Healthy Habits

The program is designed to teach young people about the benefits of developing healthy habits such as eating smart and being physically active. Through a cooking component, youth are encouraged to take small steps toward positive behavior changes at the Club and at home. Other topics include learning about food groups, portion control, and food additives.

Net SMARTZ

Program is centered on teaching Internet safety and addressing Cyberbullying. Topics include creating good passwords, identifying people you can trust, and how to handle bullies.

SMART Moves

The SMART Moves program is designed to teach children and teens – through fun, high-yield activities – how to abstain from, avoid and resist engaging in risky behaviors. Each component – SMART Kids (ages 6 - 9); Start SMART (ages 10 - 12); Stay SMART (ages 13 - 15) – addresses age appropriate issues and provides information and skills needed for youth to adopt the attitudes and behaviors necessary to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

Passport to Manhood

Passport to Manhood promotes and teaches responsibility in Club boys ages 8 - 17. Passport to Manhood consists of 14 sessions, each of which concentrates on a specific aspect of manhood through highly interactive activities. Each Club participant receives his own “passport” to underscore the notion that he is on a personal journey of maturation and growth. Passport to Manhood represents a targeted effort to engage young men in discussions and activities that reinforce positive behavior.

SMART Girls & Teen SMART Girls

SMART Girls is a small-group health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls in three age groups. Through dynamic sessions, highly participatory activities, field trips and mentoring opportunities with adult women, Club girls explore their own and societal attitudes and values as they build skills for eating right, staying physically fit, getting good health care and developing positive relationships with peers and adults.

Date SMART

Date SMART, a supplement to SMART Girls and Passport to Manhood, holds important lessons for Club members ages 13 - 18. This program teaches teens to learn how to achieve mutually supportive relationships free of violence and abuse, as well as, encourages youth to become community advocates for relationships that promote equality and respect while combating the attitudes and behaviors that lead to dating, sexual and domestic violence.

Family Support

Family support is essential in helping our youth become successful. Currently, as an organization, we are connected to many community partners that cover a vast range of resources. Resources include, mental health, domestic and sexual assault, grief, homeless youth services, LGBTQ services, as well as, housing, and food services.
